To that point, Universal released Knocked Up on DVD sans DRM, supposedly to allow consumers to rip the film to computers and mobile devices.  Also,  Business Week reported yesterday that Sony BMG plans to sell downloadable music sans DRM sometime in Q1 of &#039;08:

Do you think content producers and distributors are throwing in the towel as far as some of the more restrictive anti-piracy measures are concerned?  If so, how does that affect the value proposition you outline in your post?</description>
